1. Its Japan...Close guess though 2. It is very different from most rabbits. It has significantly smaller legs AND ears. It is also different in the fact that it gives birth to ONE rabbit at a time which leads into question 3.... 3. Since it only gives birth to one rabbit at a time it is endangered (good guess.) It lived in the Japan, but then it started to die out. It mangaged to survive on two small Japanese islands called the amami island (how it got its name) and the Toku no shima Island. Its main threat is forest devastation. Amami Rabbit have to live in both young and mature forests for food, shelter etc. Due to the population of this animal dwindling it was considered a special national monument which protects it from being trapped or hunted by humans. This law, however, does not apply to destroying there habitat since its not directly killing the rabbits. By tearing down their habitat it ends up killing them. So i guess in a way ur answer is correct when u say humans. This animal is very interesting! If u would like to learn more just touch this little link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amami_rabbit
